A series of visits that tell a sad tale and demise of a busy shed. All those 9Fs withdrawn barely 10 years old

Both grandfathers being 45 year veterans at 40E/41J, with an uncle who became a senior instructor on BR, and three uncles all firemen at the Junction, it was part of my family life. I can still remember the shed whistle calls every New Years Eve. Spot on 12 midnight the calls would shrill out all over the area in the night. No need for fireworks!
