| By April 1961 a site at Bo'ness, on the Firth of Forth, was established as a holding base for locos from the Glasgow sheds. | |||||||||||
| Two sidings were used to collect about 85 engines over a two and half year period. | |||||||||||
| Locos were stripped of their backhead fittings at Polmont before they were moved northwards by an 0-6-0 diesel. | |||||||||||
