Days Out No. 49 : 25th March 1956 - North Lincolnshire & South Yorkshire

An RCTS Tour of North Lincolnshire & South Yorkshire.
The journey north from Kings Cross to Doncaster, on the 24th March 1956, was by the 11.46pm hauled as far as Grantham by A1 4-6-0 60128 "Bongrace" (35B). The 14 coach train was then taken forward by another A1, 60140 "Balmoral" (50A). Arrival time at Doncaster was 3.32am. The party assembled at the station for a 6am start by Yorkshire Traction, Leyland Tiger Royal 39 seater coach No. 974.
