A four day trip to Devon and Cornwall and then to Salisbury and Eastleigh. The journey began on the "Cornish Riviera Limited", the 10.30am departure from Paddington to Plymouth, on Saturday 13th October. The 11 coach train was hauled throughout by King class 4-6-0 6019 "King Henry V" of Old Oak Common depot. Two coaches were 'slipped' at Westbury, and the remaining nine were taken onto Penzance, from Plymouth behind Modified Hall 4-6-0, 6988 "Swithland Hall" of Laira (83D) shed. |
