Carlisle Canal shed closed 17th June 1963. |
Excellent record. I bashed Canal one quiet summer evening in 1960 with my big brother. I’d be about 10 years old and it was full of interesting engines, one being a J36 having a boiler washout. A3’s, V2’s a great experience. We also cabbed Morayshire one evening at Citadel with a late stopper to Hawick.
